No one program is used in isolation, but depending on the child’s needs a specific combinations of interventions are creatively combined to provide the most effective and powerful program possible.

My interventions are aimed toward improving:

  • Attention difficulties
  • sensory processing disorder and sensory sensitivities that interfere with functioning in school, home and socially
  • Reading difficulties
  • Difficulties in fine and gross motor coordination
  • Low or high energy levels
  • Anxiety
  • Learning difficulties

Interactive Metronome

Brain based assessment and treatment program that helps to improve motor planning (praxis). The IM works to enhance brain performance and recovery accomplished through neuromotor exercises that expand and repair connections and circuits in the brain.

  • IM helps attention, concentration, motor planning, sequencing, language processing, behavior, balance, gait, endurance, strength, motor skills and coordination.
  • Additional info can be found on

Integrated Listening Programs

Tomatis-based sound therapy that trains the ear, brain auditory and vestibular system to process sensory input more efficiently.
Results include:

  • Increased focus/concentration
  • More ease with communication
  • Expanded creativity
  • Enhanced language capacity
  • Improved memory
  • Increased balance and coordination
  • Increased reading and comprehension
  • Improved organizational skills
  • Diminished sound sensitivities, more ease, less distractions in noisy environments

ILS is effective, noninvasive, enjoyable and a drug free alternative for improving attention, concentration, positive energy and emotional states.

Brain Gym Activities

It is a quick system that uses simple movements to stimulate brain function. It helps the brain to work together as a whole, reinforcing tow sides of the body and crossing midline required for brain integration.

26 brain gym exercises are learned, the concept being that learning challenges can be overcome by carrying out certain movements to create new brain pathways. The exercises help to activate brain centers for learning and remembering.

A great companion to many of the interventions, developed by Debra Em Wilson, a reading specialist, this program is used to also activate underlying skills that are inherent to the success of reading. The program brings in key features for children that enhance ocular motor functions; visual tracking, eye teaming, saccades, in addition to using a variety of coordination motor activities to enhance motor planning and coordinate bilateral motor control.

Sensory Integration

Use of suspended equipment that help teach children to organize sensation from within their bodies. A significant amount of effort is placed on helping children develop motor planning and gaining postural control for balance, agility and gross motor control.

Neurodevelopmental therapy

Core strength and proximal trunk control is worked on through exercises, and activities. This is required to help develop a strong base for fine motor coordination and for posture and balance.

Pilates and Yoga

Pilates and Yoga exercises are also built into sessions depending on the child’s needs.
